School Debating Team wins against Ballarat & Clarendon

On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of driving the School Debating team to Ballarat to compete against Ballarat & Clarendon College. It was a secret topic debate where students received the topic and then had one hour to prepare their arguments. The topic was “The Government should not provide funding for The Arts,” our team was arguing the negative case. In an outstanding performance by the team, they won by three points and Lauren Bowles won best speaker. Congratulations to the team, opening speaker James Mullin, 2nd Speaker Lauren Bowles and 3rd speaker Georgia Jenkins.

School Production

Rehearsals are now in full swing for this year’s school production. Production Director Ms Poole has been devoting much of her spare time to getting the best out of her cast and crew and everyone is looking forward to the performances. A huge crowd attended last year’s very successful school production and we are expecting an even bigger attendance this year, so get your tickets early to ensure that you don’t miss out.
