2022 COVID-19 Information
We continue to make sure your child is as safe as possible and focus on:
-
washing hands and hand sanitiser
-
mask wearing
-
physical distancing
-
rapid antigen testing
Free rapid antigen tests
Free rapid antigen tests will continue to be available throughout Term 1 2022.
Testing is strongly recommended twice a week for students and staff.
You do not need to buy your own RAT kits. The school will provide them. These will be provided directly to students as soon as they are available and are in packs of five. Parents will receive communication through our XUNO parent portal when the kits are provided to students to take home. If you need assistance setting up access to the portal please phone our friendly office staff on 5352 4177 or visit this link.
After doing the tests at home, if it is positive, you will need to:
-
let the school know – 5352 4177
-
keep your child at home for 7 days
-
contact the Department of Health via the COVID-19 Positive Rapid Antigen Test Self-Reporting Form or call centre on 1800 675 398.
A video about RAT testing in many different languages, is available online.
Getting vaccinated
COVID-19 vaccinations are not required for students to attend school, but vaccination for students is important.
For more information refer to Vaccination information for children and teenagers.
Ventilation
Air purifiers will continue to operate in classrooms and shared spaces across our school.
Mask rules continue to be in place, which require students and staff to wear masks at all times when indoors.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school or me directly if you have any queries or questions. Ellie.mcdougall@education.vic.gov.au or 5352 4177.
