Music Department - Back in action!

After a long break due to the remote learning last term, the school band, "Don't Run With Scissors”, is back in the swing of things. Our band members range from year 7 to 11 and practice Tuesday and Wednesday lunch times. The new songs they are currently working on are,

  • Crazy Little Thing Called Love, by Queen,

  • My Sharona, by The Knack,

  • The Power of love, by Huey Lewis and the News,

  • Breakfast at Tiffany, by Deep Blue South

  • Come Together, by The Beatles.

The students chose these songs, so they have a bit of variety and to give them a range of challenges. The students are putting their own little twist on these songs, but the basics of the tune are still there.

They are at all times striving to improve their skills with lots of practice and team work. They look forward to the day when playing for a live audience will again be an easy process.

Cheers from the music world and “Don't Run With Scissors”.
