VCE Biology

Year 12 Biology went to the Earth Ed Centre in Ballarat to look at the Amylase enzyme and what pH and temperature it works the best in. This has tied in with our work on proteins and protein structures a part of VCE Biology. Students also got to use laboratory equipment including a spectrophotometer which measures light absorbance and allowed us to measure enzyme activity.
