School Band - "Don't Run with Scissors"

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of accompanying our school band and instrumental music teachers Kristen Cheesman and David Thompson to Oxygen College in Geelong. Staff and students at the College were fantastic and provided our students with a detailed tour of their extensive professional recording studio facilities. Band members had the experience of playing on a professional stage, including individual sound checks and the aid of professional sound systems. After lunch the College very kindly offered to record and video the band. This was a highlight of the day and the recording/video of their performance will be an invaluable tool to assist with the band’s efforts to continue to improve. I cannot thank the staff and students at Oxygen College enough for their kindness, patience and support and their willingness to provide our students with such a fantastic learning experience.
