Senior Formal 2018

Last Friday the annual Senior Formal was held in our Trade Training Centre. Many of our Year 11 and 12 students took the opportunity to dress up and to share a very enjoyable evening together. I would like to congratulate the students who attended on the exemplary way in which they conducted themselves. Many thanks to Ms McDougall for her organisation of the event and to the many staff who volunteered their time to attend and supervise our students.

Yesterday I accompanied four students from the leadership team to the Central Highlands Regional Assembly, held at the Mercure Ballarat Hotel and Convention Centre. School Band - "Don't Run with Scissors"

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of accompanying our school band and instrumental music teachers Kristen Cheesman and David Thompson to Oxygen College in Geelong. Staff and students at the College were fantastic and provided our students with a detailed tour of their extensive professional recording studio facilities. Band members had the experience of playing on a professional stage, including individual sound checks and the aid of professional sound systems. After lunch the College very kindly offered to record and video the band. This was a highlight of the day and the recording/video of their performance will be an invaluable tool to assist with the band’s efforts to continue to improve.
