Hopkins House Fundraiser

Well done to Hopkins for raising $444.55 for beyondblue. In Australia, it's estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. In any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety. Beyondblue hopes to provide everyone, young and old, with information to recognise how depression, anxiety and suicide can affect people, and simple strategies to understand what to do if it happens to them, or someone close to them. Year 9 Activities Week

In the final three days of Term Two the Year 9 students participated in an alternative program. On Wednesday the Undercurrent Program came in to speak to us about Respectful Relationships. We were split into groups of boys and girls so that we could discuss respectful relationships. The presenters were friendly and they gave us a lot to think about. On Thursday, we went out to the Ararat Regional Park to participate in community service. We pulled out big weeds and for the larger ones it took all of our energy!
