In December 2004, DE&T issued to schools phase one of the Digital Content and Creation Resource Kit. This kit contained Release One of Digital Content and the Kahootz 3-D multimedia authoring software.

The use of digital objects and multimedia authoring software should be linked in curriculum delivery. The unit plans contained on this CD-ROM demonstrate how teachers would use both digital content (in the form of learning objects) and the digital creation tool, Kahootz in an integrated approach.

Further plans will be released later in the year to demonstrate how the Digital Content and Creation Initiative can be used to support the implementation of Victorian Essential Learning Standards in schools.
